Welcome!

Welcome to the New Carlisle Church of the Nazarene!

Here you will find a friendly group of people who love to worship together. We worship the Lord in song, singing many of the old traditional hymns as well as incorporating some of the newer worship and contemporary hymns being written today. We deepen our relationship to our Lord as we are taught through anointed preaching and teaching with an emphasis on Holy living and loving the Lord and each other. We care about you and your needs and we are here for you. I’m sure worshipping with us will be a heartwarming experience as we serve each other in the love of the Lord.

We hope to see you soon!

OUR DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

WE BELIEVE:

In one God - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In the inerrancy (incapable of being wrong) of the Holy Scriptures. That the Old and New Testament were absolutely inspired and written by the Holy Spirit and contain everything we need for life and for godliness.

That man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, continually inclined to evil (sin).

That man, without repentance, is hopelessly and eternally lost.

That salvation through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whoever repents (turns away from their current style of living and sinfulness) and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified (forgiven) and regenerated (made completely new) and saved from the dominion of sin.

That believers are to be sanctified completely (set apart and different from the world and its philosophies and behaviors) through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

That the Holy Spirit provides a testimony that takes place inside of us—He bears witness to our spirits that the Bible is the Word of God. Just as the Spirit bears witness with our spirits that we are children of God (Rom. 8:16) and have been set apart for God to live a holy life pleasing to Him. He assures us of the sacred truth of His Word.

In the return of our Lord, in the resurrection of the dead, and in the final judgment.

About Pastor Perry

God called me to pastor this church in 2004. I’m what you call a bi-vocational pastor. The Apostle Paul was a tent maker as well as an evangelist and in a similar fashion I am a professional piano tuner as well as a pastor. I started Circleville Bible college after high school from 1967 to 1970. I sang with the Crusaders Quartet of Columbus Ohio from 1980 to 1983. I was ordained in the church of the Nazarene in 2009 after four years of the direct studies program. I’ve been pastoring the New Carlisle Church of the Nazarene since 2004. I met my lovely wife Susie in September 1972. We fell in love immediately, got engaged in October and married in January 1973. She is still the love of my life and my rock. We have two grown children and 12 grandchildren.

We love our church and church family. We invite you to come and discover what we have found; a loving little church filled with the joy of the Lord.
